La Femme Objet is the story of a science fiction writer who is completely addicted to sex. Cabaret Sin (1987)

The other two girls end up dead and the girl that banged the old guy in the beginning sees birthmark-face banging a dead chick after she has a hallucination about having a three way in a blood-drenched meat-locker...

There's no doubt about it, this is one messed up skin flick. Geriatric tag-team action, dick-faced mountain men, necrophilia, and even some creative genital monsters. If you're looking for something to put on to really spice up your love-life, then this is for you.

The Joy of Torture (1968)

The Joy of Torture is an anthology that is made up three separate stories that all intersect. This film was directed by Teruo Ishii who films The Executioner, The Executioner 2: The Karate Inferno and The Street Fighter's Last Revenge all which starred Sonny Chiba are his most famous works outside of Japan. The film opens up with montage that includes various women being decapitated, burned alive and ripped into two.

The first segment is about Shinza who was hurt while working when a log hit him on the head and now sister Mitsu is forced give herself to her brothers boss Mr. Mino in order to help pay for Shinza's doctors bills. Mitsu agrees to talk to Mr. Mino about her brothers' bill. Only he doesn't want to talk and decides to collect the debt owed to him from even if she was unwilling. Mitsu returns home after being raped by Mr. Mino only to find herself now being violated by her brother who now professes his love for her. They decide to keep their incestuous love a secret until one day when Mr. Mino shows up unexpected and catches them in the act. Mr. Mino threatens to report them o the police if Mitsu doesn't submit to himself once and for all as his mistress.

Angel Guts: High School Co-ed (1978)

This first installment in the ANGEL GUTS series is the loudest and rawest. It focuses on three street punks who behave like Kubrick's Droogs in A CLOCKWORK ORANGE. They spend most of their spare time raping women, harassing women and plotting to rape more women. Their routine is interrupted when one of the trio exhibits a conscience.

Director Chusei Sone employs a rugged, hand-held approach to the material and milks entirely convincing performances from the youthful cast. As rape is a consistent staple of this series, there is plenty of it in this outing, although none of it is pictorially graphic. One nightmare sequence, in which a young woman is stabbed repeatedly in the groin, does possess a poisonous cinematic power.

There is an erotic edge to the film's sexuality and, as per expectations, an emphasis on female underwear and garment tearing.

Plaudits should go to cinematographer Nobumasa Mizunoo who embellishes the film with stark, white-hot visuals and toys with both color and black and white.

The film is a character study of the dangerous miscreants who walk among us and portrays sociopathic behavior as being just one step sideways for most of us.

The Teacher (1974)

18-year-old Sean's first summer after completing high school is much spent with 28-year-old teacher Diane, whose husband is too often motorcycle-racing instead of with her. Wacko Ralph also has "the hots" for Diane; and it doesn't help that Sean was with Ralph's younger brother, Lou, when Lou died.

The Teacher is 1970s sleazy, grimy, soft-core film-making at its best. Writer/director Howard Avedis handles the plot with the casual style you would expect in the free-love 70s when 18 year-olds were treated like adults.

Female Prisoner #701: Scorpion (1972)

After being cruelly set up and deceived by Sugimi (Natsuyagi Isao), a conniving and crooked detective she had whole-heartedly fallen in love with (and subsequently lost her virginity to...), Matsushima Nami's desire for revenge knows no bounds. Her failed attempt at stabbing Sugimi on the steps of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Headquarters results in her doing hard time in a female prison run by sadistic and horny male guards. To Sugimi's surprise, Matsushima refuses to testify against him and his connections to the mob, and now the sheer fact that she knows such secrets makes her a liability. So Sugimi and the Japanese mafia orchestrate a plan whereby Matsushima will succumb to an "accidental" death in prison. They enlist the help of Kagiri, another female inmate with ties to both Sugimi and the mafia, thus their formidable plan is quickly set in motion. Little do they realize, however, how hotly Matsushima's desire for revenge burns within her.

Shunya Ito's "Joshuu 701-gô: Sasori" aka "Female Prisoner #701: Scorpion" of 1972 is an absolutely brilliant masterpiece of Japanese Exploitation cinema that is not quite comparable to anything else. The WIP (Women In Prison) sub-genre may have brought a bunch of highly entertaining flicks, but each of the four "Sasori" films (all of which were released between 1972 and 1973) outshines any other movie of the kind by a million times. Not only does "Joshuu 701-gô: Sasori", or "Sasori: Scorpion" as it is entitled here, outshine any other kind of WIP flick, this is one of the films that reign supreme in Exploitation cinema generally. More than any other movie, this film combines Exploitation and Art-house cinema, sleaze and artistic beauty in a most unique way. The absolutely divine Meiko Kaji is the star of this unforgettable film and nobody else could have played the leading role of Nami Matsushima aka. Sasori with such brilliance. Not only does she play the lead, Meiko Kaji also sings the beautiful theme song to this film, one of the greatest and most memorable pieces of Japanese film score ever, "Urami-Bushi", which became known to a wider Western audience when Tarantino used it for the soundtrack of "Kill Bill 2".
